Built From Hands-On Experience.
With extensive experience in residential construction and property development, my career has developed from hands-on trade experience into delivering complete homes, developments, extensions and refurbishments.
I attended Dartford Grammar School before starting my working career in estate agency, where I spent a year gaining an early understanding of property, sales and the housing market.
From there, I moved into the construction industry and qualified as an electrician. That practical route into construction became the foundation of everything I have done since.
At the age of 23, I purchased a plot of land, developed it into a new home through the NHBC process and successfully sold the completed property. Rather than simply managing the project, I undertook the majority of the work myself. Being directly involved in each stage of the build gave me a thorough understanding of how a house comes together — from the groundworks and structure through to the mechanical, electrical and finishing elements.
A Career Built Around Residential Property.
That first project developed into a long-term career in residential construction and property development. Since then, I have built out a number of developments and delivered a wide range of residential projects, from apartments through to substantial developments, as well as new homes, extensions and major refurbishments.
My background means I approach projects from both a construction and property perspective. I understand the importance of good design and careful planning, but equally the practical realities of building, controlling costs and delivering work properly on site.
Today, much of my work comes through recommendation, including referrals from architects who know the standard of work I expect and the way I manage a project from start to finish.
I now operate under my own name, Ryan Howell, focusing on Property Development, New Builds & Extensions, and Refurbishments. I remain hands-on in my work today, staying closely involved in the projects I undertake and maintaining a direct connection with the construction process from start to finish.
Outside of work, I have a young family, which has reinforced the importance I place on building homes that are not only well constructed, but genuinely designed to be lived in.
For me, the aim has always remained the same: to deliver well-considered homes, maintain high standards throughout the construction process and build long-term relationships with the people I work with.
